Individual
PSAT, SAT or
ACT Tutoring:
The number of
sessions is tailored to each student's needs
Here are a few
examples:
$180 per session
(each session lasts 2 hours)
A student with a 4.0 GPA would most
likely need 8 sessions =
$1,440
A student with a 3.5 GPA would most
likely need 10 sessions =
$1,800
A student with a 3.0 GPA would most
likely need 12 sessions =
$2,160
A student with a 2.5 GPA
would most likely need 14 sessions =
$2,520
Textbooks and
Materials included.
Some students may not need both
Math and Verbal test prep. No one is required to sign up for a
"package," just the appropriate number of sessions for each student.
How much
homework is involved?
About an hour
and a half of homework is assigned with each session.
How
frequently should students meet with each tutor?
During the
school year, one two-hour session once a week works well.
During the
summer months, twice a week, for two hours each session, is a good
idea.
Whatever you
choose, it is best to make PSAT, SAT or ACT prep a priority. Students should
set aside a group of dates to meet with tutors. For example,
every Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00. Stringing sessions over many weeks
or months is not as effective.
